Sustainability in Action: Giving New Life to Old Equipment at Ground Up
At Ground Up, we are always looking for ways that we can be more sustainable and continue to work in as much of an environmentally friendly way as possible.

When our field team needed a new tipper for void clearances and large removal jobs, we sourced a high-quality second-hand tipper, which allowed us to extend the life of a perfectly usable vehicle while also reducing the demand for new manufacturing.

Up-cycle Opportunities!

Our Director, Paul, saw an opportunity to take things a step further. We had an old cage that was no longer in use, and instead of letting it go to waste or investing in a new one, Paul repurposed it to fit the back of the newly acquired tipper. This hands-on solution meant that we could customise the tipper to meet our needs without needing to buy additional materials and it was another step toward minimising our environmental impact.

These kinds of small, practical choices reflect our broader values as a company. Sustainability is all about making responsible decisions on a daily basis, finding innovative ways to do more with less, and thinking creatively about the resources we already have.

We're proud of how our team continues to embody these values across all areas of our work, and we’re excited to keep finding new ways to make our operations greener and more efficient.
